The Chief executive of Rehman Group SARDAR DILDAR AHMAD CHEEMA
belongs to one of the most well established old families of
Faisalabad. His grand father was the biggest landlord of his
time and also very well respected and prominent figure of the
city. They were mainly inagriculture and real estate business.
There is avillage in his name still exists.
After the death of the grand father and father within a short
span of one year time, Sardar dildar cheema became the solely
responsible of this estate, which he inherited. In the mean
time he completed his graduation and started looking after the
business affairs. He expended and diverted his family estate,
and started the real estate development with more
modernization and also diverted into textile and hotel
industry.
Rehman town, satellite town, New lasani town, Gulshan e
rehman, Rehman gardens, Rehman gardens II, Rehman villas and
Rehman farm housing are residential projects on his credit.
All these projects are completed. He also developed commercial
properties; following are two major commercial projects.
Hijwari shopping mall is another landmark in Faisalabad. This
project is completed and well appreciated by the local
business community.
Rehman heights is a mega project with a new concept in
commercial development in Faisalabad. It is a multilevel
building with 5 levels of shopping mall and three levels of
executive offices. One floor is deputed for food court and
kids recreation. This project is on ground and construction is
in progress.
Hijveri textile is another milestone of Rehman group, hijveri
textile is a composite knit wear unit with the Garman/Swiss
technology and situated in Lahore. Its capacity is 80,000
garments a
month. 90% of the production is for exports and rest is for
local market.
Group also owns fruit farm near Faisalabad, which has been
developed with new agriculture technology.
Two years back after watching pressure on hotel industry and
great need of the country, the group has planned to invest in
hospitality industry with 5 hotels in 5 important cities of
Pakistan. Started
with project on M.M Alam road, Lahore. This project is located
in THE BEST commercial place and the heart of the city i.e.
gulberg, next to the most poshed and trademark shopping zone
(liberty market), which is a identity of Lahore and on the
same road where 8 best and the top of the line restaurants are
situated. The project is under construction since July 2004,
and 7 out of total 13 levels/ floors are completed till now.
Other 4 more hotels in Murree, Islamabad, Faisalabad and
Gawadar respectively are in the phase of planning and
development.
The chief executive is a very successful politician as well
other then an excellent businessman. As soon as he became
eligible to contest election in 1985, he started participating
in politics. He
was twice a member of provincial assembly and twice of
national assembly, still holds a seat in parliament. |
